2. Client selects a service Services are listed with name, duration, and price. The client taps or clicks the one they want. Multi-slot group bookings (classes, workshops) are also supported.
3. Client picks a date and time Only genuinely open slots are shown. SmarterCalendar cross-checks your calendar, service duration, and buffer times to show accurate availability in real time.
4. Client fills in contact details and intake questions You can add custom intake questions (text, dropdown, checkbox) to gather any information you need before the appointment. Conditional logic can show or hide questions based on earlier answers.
5. Client pays a deposit or full amount (optional) If you require payment at booking, the client pays via Stripe before the booking is submitted. You can charge a fixed deposit, a percentage, or full payment.

Does SmarterCalendar work for group classes and multi-client slots?

Yes. You can set a maximum capacity on any service to allow multiple clients to book the same time slot — useful for fitness classes, workshops, group lessons, and similar formats. Clients see how many spots are left before booking. Services with capacity 1 behave as individual appointments and are unaffected.

Does SmarterCalendar integrate with Google Calendar?

Yes, on Standard and Pro plans. Connecting Google Calendar creates a two-way sync: new bookings appear in Google Calendar automatically, and times blocked in Google Calendar are hidden from your booking page so clients cannot book those slots.

Can clients reschedule or cancel their own appointments?

Yes. Each client receives a link to their self-service portal in their confirmation message. You control whether clients are allowed to self-cancel and how far in advance they must do so. This reduces the volume of messages you receive from clients wanting to change appointments.

Can I collect intake forms and digital waivers before appointments?

Yes. You can add custom intake questions to any service — text fields, dropdowns, checkboxes, and multi-select options. Questions can be set as required or optional, and conditional logic lets you show or hide questions based on a client's earlier answers. Digital waiver signing is also available and clients must sign before completing their booking.
